I think, the first ever fighter i watched was Muhammad Ali. Like so many, i loved his style and especially his interviews and stuff like that. He obviously had skill as he went a whole fight without being hit at all, once.
I then moved on to Mike Tyson, and anyone who watches some of the more exciting fights that Tyson had is going to become an overnight fan i think.
To this day i am still a fan of those fighters, and have gradually moved on to studying some other fighters. Only in the last year have i become a big boxing fan, so still i know little compared to a lot of members in the Non Stop Boxing forum, but i learn something about boxing everyday either here or from friends who have followed the sport longer.
So what do you think? Do you think the fighters that you first watch you always like regardless of what they do wrong. For instance with my Mike Tyson example, i love watching the man fight even if he has had a record of bad behaviour outside the ring. I fail to see any flaws in his style when he was at his best. I actually dont think that he could be beaten in his prime by anybody. He would destroy the world, around the years of 88-89. Even the likes of Holyfield, who some believe would have beaten Tyson whether he was in his prime or not. Which of course he did do, he beat Tyson when he had experienced jail terms etc. etc.
