I guess some folks can't accept reality. It was such a close fight but the right man was given the nod, in my way of thinking, it shouldn't have been this close if Khan's abilities matched his hype. If his hype were as real as his mouth advertised he would have cruised to victory and we'd be talking about a possible Mayweather match up, but truth is ever the confounder of every well laid plan.

The problem with Khan is that his mouth is far more skillful than his boxing. I bought into the hype too, so what does that tell ya?

The scorecards handed out to press at the end of the fight are copies of the master scoresheet compiled by the athletic commission. Round seven was the 10-8 round that all three judges gave to Peterson — how would any judge score it 10-8 to Khan when a point was taken away from him?

On the copy of the master scoresheet, the commission member appears to have made a mistake when copying scores over, initially writing a 10 under Khan as opposed to a 10 under Peterson.

This was on the part of the commission member who copies the scores over, not the actual scoring itself.

      Preach, Mr. David!

I saw the guy come and wisper in his ear that he was "good" and khan seemed happy. Then the results came out.

Khan and his team need to man up and just accept what happened. fight Peterson in a rematch in the UK and do your talking in the ring.

personally I don't think Peterson should give Khan a rematch because we all know Khan doesn't do that, just ask Maidana.

didn't hear team Khan b1tching and moaning so much when Joe Cortez took a point away from Maidana, giving Amir the win. without that point that fight would have been a draw.

it's ok for the ref to take points away as long as it isn't from Khan.. what a douche

                Wait a minute...

Team Khan is upset because one of the judges fixed an error by scoring the 7th round 10-8 for Khan when it was obviously a 10-8 round for Peterson (counting the point deduction).

So Team Khan basically admitted to wanting to win the fight on false/incorrect scoring, but they're complaining about being done wrong.

Lastly, Team Khan says that the fight should be determined by the fighters and not referree, which is true. But when you have a fighter who continues to do fouls despite being warned, the fighters are no longer honorably determinining the fight; which is why the ref must step in.

Just see Mares-Agbeko I for an example of what happens when fighters aren't held to the rules.
