    A source with knowledge of the details advised BoxingScene.com that Saturday's fight between Amir Khan (26-2, 18KOs) and Lamont Peterson (30-1-1, 15Kos) did not involve a rematch clause, and Golden Boy Promotions does not have any options on Peterson. basically, the ball is in Peterson's court. Contrary to various information being ciculated, a rematch is not remotley close to being confirmed or finalized.

          IMO Peterson would be smart to make some money with the belt before exposing it to Khan again.

          Plus maybe if he wait a little bit and khan makes a nice comeback the rematch could bring real good money.

          Peterson really deserves it. Not like some scumbags like margarito making big bucks for all the wrong reasons. And I am mexican so i dont say it just to be a hater.

              Khan has confirmed a lot of other lies in the past as well.
              How can a fight be confirmed when contracts have not even been drummed up yet?

                  Since there's no rematch clause I think Lamont should milk the belts a bit. Bradley-Peterson 2/LWW unification ain't bad.

                      Lamont should be calling the shots now, it was very smart move not fighting Khan in England last year.

                                      take 1-2 fights and then rematch, make his a55 wait and tell him to get in line.
