    Thoughts on the Peterson-Khan fight.

First off, let me say this. What reason would hometown cooking be done for a guy who has about zero starpower, and isn't known by anyone but hardcore fans? Makes NO sense. Location typically has no effect on robberies, bias etc. It's promotional power of the fighter, the star power they have etc.

The referee did a solid job IMO, He warned Khan several times, and told him "one more time, not going to warn you again" Khan did it even more forcefully after everytime he was warned, the ref gave him many chances, but lost his patience and docked the point. and in the final round, warned him again, Khan does it right after being warned, and throws an uppercut when he clearly sees the ref coming to break them, with the look on his face of a bratty child who doesn't want to share his toys, pathetic.

Khan got outfought, out-timed and out-boxed to some extent. Khan does a horrible time at slowing the pace down of a fight and that's when Lamont did his best work, that and when he timed Khan coming in. Peterson looked like the champion last night, not Khan. Don't get me wrong Khan fought hard but behaved very childish in some instances last night. The judging was completely fair, matter of fact it looked like the Vasquez card had bias written allover it, giving Lamont only 3 rounds, really?....Don't think so.

Great fight but between the HBO commentary, Khan's post fight *****ing because he can't accept a loss, really irked me. I'm by no means no fan of either of them, just a boxing fan, but Peterson dug deeper and deserved that win last night. Khan needed a wake up call like this. Just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

Lamont Peterson: They ain’t on the same level. At the time when I fought Timothy Bradley, I wasn’t as comfortable and as secure as I am now. Since that fight, I have learned a lot. For me, Timothy Bradley will always be the better fighter. If they fought, I would pick Bradley to win.

Lamont said that? I was just rewatching his and Bradley's fight again, fun scrap. I'd love to see the rematch between them, I think It'd be different than their first fight, much closer. Lamont's found himself alot more as a fighter now. He's also matured alot physically and mentally. It's hard to believe his fight with Bradley was 2 years ago, I still remember watching it live..

              Locarions do affect judging actually.

A crowd who cheers for one fighter does have some effect.

Anytime Peterson landed it was all loud, and when Khan did, it was fairly quiet.

That does affect judges, and you can watch Juan Diaz VS Paulie to many more fights.
