Comments Thread For: Ward, Froch Thank Super Six For Profiles Being Raised

The theory goes that fighters not from the United States want to come here so they can become more known, which in turn can further a career.

I agree the supersix made the SMW division widely known in the states. Very noticable on this board too.

There's a little error in the text by the way. Froch is 28-1.

I really hope Froch wins against Ward, but it'll be a difficult match, Froch though could pull through if he is able to land at all. But the long silverback arms of Froch will trainwrech through the air! COME ON COBRA!!

Froch - Kessler II in Nottingham.

The idea of tournaments is a good one. I hope it spreads throughout all the different weight classes.

Just make them be single elimination rather than have the round-robin format.

I agree all the fans been hating on the super6 because of the dropouts but the concept was genius even the football style 3 point system but the tourney was too long

Yeah the tournament has definitely raised their stocks. Too bad it's lowered some other's stock in the process. Abraham is overrated anyway. Now we need a 147 tournament. That division is loaded with big name talent. No round robin format though. I'm not interested in waiting years to see who wins. Single elimination w/ 2 fights per event. I'd like to see Ortiz, Berto, Alexander, Maidana, Con, Judah, Matthysse, Bradley, Malignaggi, and Guerrero. I didn't even mention Pac or Floyd for obvious reasons. Mosley would be an alternate based of his past few performances. HBO/Showtime need to make it happen! Doubt it though....
