Does the Peterson Kahn drama affect Froch going into his fight?

I think Froch already has serious doubts as to whether or not he will get a fair shake on US soil and the Kahn Peterson decision will bore into his psyche and really affect his performance. I think he will attempt to be even more aggressive and try to keep this decision out of the hands of the ref.

    your thoughts?

Whatever Froch does, Ward will have an answer for.

going by what im guessing goes on in Frochs head he'll probably be encouraged by it!

He's (imo) always considered himself the best british boxer and has wanted the adulation from the media. Khan losing means if he beats Ward all the British media will be calling him #1.

Its now an added incentive to win. He's said from early on he thinks Ward gets the benefit of the doubt too much and that he's gonna knock him out anyway so i doubt last night will affect his strategy

This fight carries a lot of weight and really establishes Calzaghe's true heir (and let me say that person whether its Froch or Ward has already fought the much better opposition than Calzaghe ever did).

Didnt even consider that angle great point. I think thats not only a valid point but maybe just as big a factor as the concern for home cookin. This probably adds another element of pressure for Froch, he is the true torch bearer now.

My point to this thread was that Froch had enough going against him before the Kahn vs Peterson drama. If Froch doesn't get off to a good start this fight goes from tough to near impossible to win as I have yet to see Ward gass in a fight.

I think it will encourage Froch to go for the KO.

Let's face it, he'll be up against the ref and the judges, he has to stop Ward to win.

i don't see how it could affect him and his gameplan. as if you're assuming that there's an organized effort to cheat brit fighters in the US. i don't think froch will fall into that ****** thoughts.

                  Let's see:

Calzaghe got more than a fair shake against Hopkins.

Hatton got more than a fair shake against Collazo.

Khan got more than a fair shake against Maidana.

Lewis got more than a fair shake against Mercer.

If Froch wins the fight, he'll be rewarded for doing so.

If he goes for the KO he's going to get out-boxed even worse.

Looking for a KO is usually a bad strategy.
