Does this put Ortiz-Peterson & how much improved Ortiz was at WW into perspective?

After Ortiz drew with Peterson, people just assumed it was because Ortiz wasn't a very good fighter, and as a result he was a big underdog going against Berto at 147. So when he decisively beat Berto, people immediately began to say he was just a better fighter at 147.

Now that Peterson has 'beaten' Khan, have some of you changed your mind?

    IMO Peterson > Berto. Opinions?

Oh btw, Khan will be back with a vengeance. The trouble with boxing is when you get these types of fights with two young in their prime fighters going against each other, the loser (even if it's razor close) gets written off as garbage. Khan seems to be that guy right now.

... and that is exactly why these kinds of fights don't happen very often i'm afraid

Props to Peterson for offering an immediate rematch, true champ

I learned, no I should say, my beliefs of Roaches fighters this last couple of months have been strenghtened. They are simply rated too high. Unreasonably too high.

Ortiz was always better than Khan, IMO

Hmmm, not sure about that. We'll find out soon though - i'm pretty sure that fight will happen in the next year or two. They're both with GBP and it's always felt like they've been destined to meet at some point

Ortiz an match him in the speed department & has bigger power, stronger guy, what happens when Khan does the Cotto & backs up to the ropes & just shells up? Night night time.

Ortiz would absolutely destroy Khan... Khan has no inside fighting (which Oriz is amazing at) and Ortiz has the power to drop u even if u had a good chin, which Khan really doesn't (although, its not as bad as people think)...

Obviously Khan can outbox Ortiz, but if he can't keep Ortiz off him (which I guarantee he can't) he's gonna get destroied

Assuming the ref gives him the chance

It was always bullcrap to say Ortiz was better because he moved up. And disrespectful to Peterson.

Ortiz is not an amazing, or even good, inside fighter. Peterson is at least twice or three times the inside fighter Ortiz is.
