They fabricated a large part of Manny's past in an effort to make him seem to come from more humble roots than he actually did. You even agreed with me on this! Donaire and Viloria both have lived in America for almost the entirety of their lives, they wanted to be US Olympic athletes. They wouldn't even be fighting in Philippines if it weren't for Manny.
