Better balance than Dirrell I don't think so. Khan went down after throwing a punch and missing.
Damn I'mma make a gif of that lol.Comment

In professional boxing "Control/Ring Generalship" is executed with the feet, hands, and eyes. Amir fights a very amateur style and is not schooled as a pro. The higher level you fight the more tools you need and too bad for Amir. He is very limited as a fighter.

Dirrel fell to his knees everytime Froch got anywhere close to him. About 4 times a rd
Better balance was the wrong phrase though, it wasnt lack of balance that brought him to his knees, it was a tactic.
They both ran like **** thoughComment

ring generalship. . . notice how after the middle rounds, he would get peterson plodding forward after him, and then he would all the sudden EXPLODE FORWARD with combinations, and hten turn him, get him following him, and repeat. . .
it's best to use a mixture of foot work and punching to maximize energy. . . peterson couldn't even hit khan unless khan remained stationary with his ear muffs on. . . reyes goves aren't the best for using ear muffs; it is easier to find holes and weak spots. . .Comment

ring generalship is a myth. all it does is ask 'whos controlling the fight', and that either means 1. Who is winning the fight? or 2. Let my bias give points on what I think is the 'correct' way to fight
its a ****** way to judge a fight.Comment

It really depends on the round.
For example, I thought he won the 11th in terms of effective punching, but I penalized him and scored the round even precisely because everything else about him in that round (the spoiling, the somewhat panicked appearance) was incongruent with ring generalship.
In plenty other rounds, he was clearly the ring general.Comment
