Is it me or is Roach trying to turn Khan into a Pacquiao clone?

Khan fought like a big version of Manny last night, throwing all sorts of punches instead of working behind a jab. It made him look extremely wild and wreckless at times.

Khan had recently shown that he can stick that jab in your face and disrupt your rhythm whilst setting up shots, but last night he seemed to be trying to fight like Manny Pacquiao. It doesn't seem like Roach tailors to his fighters styles or is even addressing glaring weaknesses, but rather hopes to have them rely on handspeed and activity. Khan's defence is very leaky - he gets hit with a lot of shots even with his guard up and can't defend uppercuts.

Manny throws mad punches like that because that is natural to him, but Khan developed with more standard fundamentals which seemed to be thrown out of the window last night. I don't recall many straight shots from Khan just weird looping punches.

All in all I hope that this gives Amir the reality check he needs, because he has gotten wayyyy too big for his boots.

It's Khans fault he lost. Not Roaches or Pacquiaos. No deductions and he has the win.

      I blame Roach and Khan.

Khan for being arrogant and for fighting ******. Khan was ineffective with most of his punches and I can't recall him thinking to adjust and go back to basics and snap that jab and calm the fight down.

Roach for not improving Khan's defence, his ability to fight going backwards or inside game. That is Roach's job to train his fighter! Roach is also supposed to coach Khan into doing the right things and not falling into the same traps over and over again.

I've noticed that since the Maidana fight. He moves backwards more, but his offense is the same high workrate wild style Pacquiao employs.

Roach can't change a fighters style if he can he would have changed manny's hahaha. That's all khan, thought khan won though.

Perhaps Khan, with Freddie's blessings, was thinking too far ahead on that fight with Mayweather?

seems to me like khan is the one trying to fight like manny, unless roach also taught him to put his hands up after getting hit like pacquiao
