I'm not crazy about Amir Khan but in this situation he is right to strongly state his beliefs. We all knew it would be close, I want to see a fighter say "no thats bull****.", I don't want that victor ortiz "it's cool, dude" attitude

The ref robbed Peterson of a legit win. Didn't even give Khan a hard warning like most refs would in that situation. Hometown point deductions for sure.

            Those calls absolutely were.

I'm not a Khan fan nor do I care about either fighter, but that was a joke of a ref joke.

Refs should be consistent. If he was going to warned/penalize Khan for pushing, why was he allowing Peterson to push Khan against the ropes?

I do agree that Khan fought foolish and gave rounds away, but he dominates Peterson in the rematch as the adjustments he needs to make he already made (which is why he won almost all but one of the championship rounds IMO).

"I'm not looking too far ahead - I'm looking at this fight first, then we go on to future fights. It's not just about winning in this fight, it's about winning in good style. I'm going to win in good style - I'm going to make some new fans in DC and put on some fireworks."

That's what is wrong with these young boxers these days. They put too much value on themselves before they really step in with someone who is hungry and determined to win. Promoters are not helping these fighters gain experience at all by matching them up with people that they can look good against. Khan talked like he was the next Sugar Ray Leonard but he is just a regular fighter with a loud mouth. He was a favorite going in the fight against Peterson and basically slept on him. Soon as he loses he screams that he got robbed but before he got love for DC and the fight was going to produce fireworks? this guy is a sore loser. If he fought as good as he talks then Lamont Peterson would have been an easy fight for him. Funny how Freddie Roach fighters always have the best training camp in the world prior but after they lose or look bad in the fight, there is something wrong or an excuse. Khan knew that he was fighting on unfamiliar turf and needed to really shine to get the nod.

khan couldnt take the body shot plus alot of his amateurish combos were hitting petersons glove.khan basically got his ass whipped last night. take your loss like a man and don't price yourself out in the rematch.you paid in the right last night and now you have to pay some big money to (HAVIC).

i was right when i said floyd should take this fight in England for a huge payday

                  as it was easy money..

khan doesn realize what he does wrong,,,,sad..

first, yes a point deduction was correctly taken for shoving esp with the elbow so many times.

secondly he should have had another point taken for pushng dudes head down
                  for 12 rounds...

anyone who has boxed realizes how cheap and petty that is, how exerting it is on you damn back to be pushed down all freakin night.....

third, he khan, you ran and were so inactive you gave rounds away as peterson took them from you with activity alone, let alone landing good shots...

fourth, you never sit down on your punches, throwing a 4 punch flurry while moving and grazing your opponent is not scoring, if he returns two punches then he wins the exchange...

                  khan just doesnt get it..

he has great hand speed, poor footwork and agility and the inability to move away from his opponent..

even a 46 year old bhop and move around the ring correctly, khan holds, pushes off or pushes his opponents head down or runs, all losing the rounds
while his opponent is busy with activity...

                  khan doesnt have the mentality....

                  sad

after ortiz knocks berto out, which he will, mark my words, ortiz knocks khan out and then you can see

ortiz vs mayweather 2 next november

Khan has none. A thoroughly unlikeable individual.
