    El Palenque de la Feria in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico - Johan Perez (15-0-1, 12KOs) knocked out Fernando Castaneda (12-5, 11Kos) in the fourth round to win the interim-WBA junior welterweight title. Castaneda was punished and suffered a broken jaw in the loss. The win places Perez in position for a shot at WBA "regular" champion Marcos Maidana.

          Perez seems to be getting better with evry fight.....
          I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he ko'd maidana sometime in the future....

              never heard of him, so i looked him up. 10 to 11 of the guys he's faced were complete bums. interested in seeing his fight with mosquera where he earned a draw. anyways, i thought maidana is fighting devon alexander?

                  that is a joke to put a guy with such lack of experience at the door against Maidana. And people say the WBC is bad lol.

                      the thread says 'in line for', not that Perez is going to fight Maidana. However he is a good one Johan Perez, but he needs to reach at least 20 fights before a world title
