If Tyson got back to proper training he'd beat Tarver, but he needs that ferousity in the ring that he had at the beginning of his career. So it couldn't be a Kevin McBride attempt, he'd have to want to physically destroy Tarver to be able to win. And Tarver is 6 1, Tyson struggles against very tall opponents, such as Lewis and McBride.

Tyson didn't so much lose to McBride as quit...I don't think Mike's heart is in the game and I don't think it has been since Holyfield beat him the first time....Maybe if he is really pissed and really wants to kill Tarver he can manage to get some of his old energy back...not the skills but the energy, which has been lacking for quite awhile...****, I hope this fight happens just out of a strange curiosity...Tarver would make a bundle off this win or lose and he can't keep beating up Roy Jones for paychecks

i want tyson to stay retired. but i don't think tarver would win if this fight goes down. and if tarver does beat tyson...jesus.. i'll have nothing more to say at all.

but we all know tarver struggles with pressure fighters, and he's not exactly 6 6". so holding tyson won't work. mcbride won by holding tyson and clubbing his head repeatedly in the clinch. tarver can't do that. tyson can reach his head- and even though he's a shell of himself- that might be all he needs. i firmly believe if tyson can hurt tarver- then he'll go into his ballistic-finisher rage and take it over. he never got that moment with mcbride because the holding tactics took the fight past 4 rounds. and thats usually when tyson zero-heart problem arises.

i could easily be wrong, but that goes without saying. if this fight goes down- i just really hope tyson is actually into the fight. not just the pay, he needs to find his will to win again. the HW division sucks so much even mike could figure out a way to be champ- i mean...****...hasim rahman!?

I certainly hope this is real, Tyson has been garbage lately because in his prime he fought purely on anger. I really hope this **** is true...

Tyson fought with a mix of anger and talent in his prime, post prison was all just anger. If he can shape up and take this fight seriously and not fool the public like with McBride then he's got a chance.
