In reality Khan knew that when Lamont puts his head down he's getting ready to throw so Khan was catching his head so he would stop him and then Khan could catch a breather. Lamont deserved the win!
i felt the same way. khan kept pushing off to get space which is illegal in boxing. lamply was just a pure joke. he gets on my nerve. if you just listen to lamply, you would have thought khan was killing peterson. it could have gone for lamont or draw or khan by 1 point and it would be good for me. fight of the year IMO. the judges were not fooled by AK's flashy look good but useless punches. khan has too much talent to waste using look good tactics insted of solid foundation. he should drop roach. they didnt even try to change fight plans. they were clueless. AK needs a real trainer like stewart or even jeff mayweather. with khans skill set, jeff could make him even better. IMO.

all fighters are ****y. some just dont mind showing it. to get in the ring with another fighter and say im going to kick your behind, is pure arrogance. but you have to be very confident to be a fighter. all fighters, even more so at the top level, are ****y but holes. and they have to be IMO.

          • I think Khan was exposed last night. Was never really impressed by him because when you want to be elite it takes more than speed and power, he doesn't adjust or switch his style at all everything is based on speed. His accuracy is $h!t for someone who's supposed to be so great. But that was the worst job I seen by a ref probably ever!! He never physically made his presence felt, never seperated the fighters when they got tide up the mofo would say it but never seperated the fighters. The ref is the reason why this outcome is messed up. People say Khan was robbed because of the point deductions but what about the sorry a$$ knockdown in round 1 that was called so to me its nowhere near a robbery just horrible referee. But good job Lamont and let's see a rematch!!

            • My 2 pennies!!!

the thing is this....Khan doesn't feel comfortable on the inside so he grabbed and held whenever Lamont got in there...imo Khan initiated the clinches by holding Lamonts's head down while Lamont was trying to work....thats where Lamont wanted to work...inside and to the body....Khan wants to ambush....he needs space to execute his ambushes but he couldn't create the space by landing something to keep Lamont up off him

the ref let them fight inside and Khan was not used to that...he kept looking at the ref like he wanted him to break them up a few times....Lamont kept working and at one point in the fight had Khan literally running backwards laps around the ring....I'll make a gif of that later to show cats what I mean.....the deductions were acceptable imo....the last one was kinda suspect being as though it was the 12th round of a close fight....as a ref, I don't think you take a point away at that point....another STRONG warning would've been better.....but on the flip, I did hear and see the ref warn Khan plenty of times about the pushing off and holding down....he even kept telling Lamont to hold his head up as well

the ref did a OK job....it is what it is....BOTH dudes fought hard and I can't wait to see the sequel

              • The irony of Brits whining about "hometown bias" in a decision.

                  • I'm not an amir khan fan however I didn't think he deserved to have the titles taken away like that u know he was pushing off and stuff although peterson fought well and did win it looks like to me that it was a close fight and the point deductions being the deciding factor
