He used plaster in their first fight, remember? He couldn't use it THIS time around because members of Team Cotto were present during the wrapping. He probably DID take his energy pills and ephedra, however.

Bottom line:

1) Cotto Dominated the fight.
2) That was a terrible stoppage.
3) Marg wasn't ever hurt, even though his head was getting batted around like a bobble head. I really wish Cotto would go back to those wide looping body shots. He had the best in the business. The one that dropped Carlos Quitana for instance. Beauty.
4) Cotto's face was starting to show abuse, but nothing like the first fight.

Conclusions.
1) Marg was wrapped in the first fight. Quit denying it. The Mosely fight was 6 months after that. Seriously. You all think that just started in the Mosely fight?

2) Marg will not be knocked out but he's not a particularly good fight. More like a poor mans Julio Chesar Chavez, except it's almost offensive to put those names in the same category.

But the style suits. Wear down your opponent, take 3 punches to give 1 hard punch, etc. Only, without wraps....MARG punches like a wuss.

Cotto was never in any danger in this fight. In the first fight he had his nose broken int he second round and was hurt in the 7th. Neither of those things happened in this fight.

Just don't see what the Marg fans saw. Cotto looked tired but do you really thinkhe was jjust going ot fall apart after he fought on fumes for a good 3-4 rounds in the first fight?

He was going to win that fight. Just wish it went on longer so there'd be no question.

Cotto figured out Marg and whooped his ass, let it go. I thought Margs was going to win also. Cotto knows how to fight him now and I'd favor him 10/10 times against Marg.

Margarito definitely was onto something cotto fans just trying too hard too imagine a great victory when it wasnt imagine if the fight was stopped due to cotto swelling they would be crying like girls oh cotto should have gotten the benefit of the doubt till the end boo hoo .....

I thought i was seeing the same fight,, Only difference was Cotto clinch this time around, I was thinking "Oh my God Cotto is going to get stopped again" Especially when he gets caught on the rope.
