Margarito-Cotto II wasn't quite the extreme schooling/shut out everyone wants to believe. Kind of misleading, like that whole 'Marquez won at least 9 rounds!' deal. Yeah, Cotto was ahead and you'd expect the judges in MSG to have it wide, but it was more of a fight and Tony had a claim in more rounds than the vast majority on here would have you believe. A slower, swollen-eyed Tony, at that.

Richard Schaefer has informed that the show here in DC is a clean sellout. Cong****. #Boxing is dead? Whatever. #KhanPeterson
Good to hear, not bad for a place where there's been no big matches in 18 years.

That's probably the biggest difference I saw. The young or prime Margs wasn't fast by any means but he had enough speed to make combinations with Cotto possible that he would land a few. This version, and the one that fought Pac and Garcia too, was just sooooooooooo slow. He really did look like he was that much slower and when you're already a slow fighter, it makes it that much harder.

cant wait for Khan to be unleashed and put up a devastating show that will scare away Bradley once for all before he move up to 147 for his next fight..

stones! my pakistani brother! im definitely seeing margarito shovel a lot of uppercuts and hooks into him. . . i imagine in the later rounds, he'll land even more. . . but cotto was clearly the sharper, crisper boxer. . . landing more cleaner shots every round

Slow and his combos are limited to 2 punches maaaaybe a 3 punch combo 2x a round.

Margs is competitive/game every round, but he's clearly losing them imo. Margs just landed nice uppercut but he's letting cotto hold him amd not working out of the clinch to score.
