Matthew Hatton has done a good job in his own right.

But there really is not a lot he can do with the real elite fighters apart from stick around.

If Khan wins tonight and does step up he should fight someone like Zaveck. And that's a hard fight for Khan against a strong welter.

Khan promotions and Hatton promotions have a working relationship here in the UK, since Khan promotions are unable to create an event due to not having any fighters on their roster they'll look to using the Hatton fighters for the undercard and most likely have Matthew in the main event with Amir.

Financially it's a viable option, commercial fans would buy into the hype straight away so it should be a sell out and get decent ratings on Skysports. Personally I dont like the fight but it's become a successful formula for team Khan they have a title or mando fight then take a bs fight to maximize profits back in the UK.

The fight will have no significance just to gain/satisfy the UK fanbase and make some money during the process.

I should think not, khan and hatton (matthew) are not even in the same league.

Why show up little hatton with another beating?
