Funny thing, these same people booing Arum are the one gobbling up his PPV's, buying tickets to see his fights, etc, etc.

They love his products but they despise him for keeping the Pac-May fight at bay.

Arum needs to gtfo of this sport. It's hard to boycott his product though because we love the sport, not much we can do about that. I loved this video btw and how heated it got, shows that people still have passion about this sport.

You sound like a real looney. How do you KNOW what Arum was trying to do or wanted to do. It was obvious even before Arum came to the mic that the crowd was so unruly that nobody could really hear anything that was being said, a combination of cheers, whistles boos and general noise, determined to shout down anything that anyone said.

Arum came on for a moment, saw that no one wanted too listen to what he had too say, so walked off. He's past the age where he's grinning and smiling at everybody on his way up. In fact he never was like that, he speaks with serious intent and expects to be listened to. He had more respect for himself than to stay there like the paid flunkies had to do.

They didn't want to hear, that was OK with him. I'd have done exactly the very same thing, In fact one time I did, being a speaker at a politicial rally which had been infltrated by fanatical crazy opposition, or maybe paid goons.

In fact, I'd never even go to a meeting of that kind with no order nor control over the crowd. A waste of time.

I hear ya'. It's kind of like when you would see those 90's talk show and the audience would boo the guy that was supposed to be the "bad" guest. The audience also mindlessly applauds whenever the host or someone supporting the view of the "good" guy says something half decent. It's mindless, really.

When you get people in that mob mentality or groupthink, it's just not worth the effort.

Same deal with bible thumpers. I have no problem with religion just as long as they don't try to shove their beliefs down one's throat and swear that THEIR perspective is the only true one.

That gets on my nerves a lot.

I don't like Arum but there's no deying that he's brought us some of the best fights and the best fighters in history. Top Rank knows there ****. We have our biggest stars in boxing thanks to them.. including Floyd.

I was there. I told my girlfriend that i wasn't sure if this was happening because it's NYC, it was a rowdy puerto rican crowd, or because of the general distaste boxing fans have for arum with all the bull**** he's pulled throughout the years. Probably a mixture of it all. I was in awe though. Like wow, this super powerful millionaire boxing giant is getting booed off stage. so disrespectful. kinda felt bad for the dude. his legacy is tainted for sure.
