Mayweather-Cotto is long over due way before PAC-Mayweather.

And Cotto doesn't deserve a Mayweather fight. He's just not the same fighter.
Floyd would sound like a hypocrite if he takes the fight now.

If Manny thought for himself instead of constantly deferring to his promoter I think we'd not only see that fight but a rededication to the only career that's going to keep him flying his soul sucking entourage around in a jumbo jet.

Whoever Mayweather ends up fighting, it'll sell, but I think it sells better now because the truth is clear. Bob Arum, the brains behind the Pacquiao operation, wants none of Mayweather. If you're wanting Mayweather to fight a Top Rank fighter you can kiss that delusion goodbye. Make a list of top fighters that aren't associated with Arum and you'll have a more realistic idea of who Floyd's next opponent will be.

The money interests are such that this is what we end up with, certainly cold comfort but without such calculations would the sport flourish or flounder? Are the sleazy promoters just a necessary right for the sport to exist?
