Sturm used to have a regular WBA belt before, but it was upgraded to Super WBA and Golovkin's interim belt was upgraded to the regular WBA belt. The Super belt is what the WBA recognizes as the highest ranking belt I guess. Same thing happened to Wladimir Klitschko's WBA belt I believe. The probably did it to appease Golovkin to keep him away from Sturm.

Ouma was 2-5 in the previous 6.5 years
Nilson Julio Tapia was garbage, he might have had a pulse but he wasn't a middleweight
Nunez is so much of a challenge that Alex Theran (5-0, 4) if facing him 1 week today
Makarov had never fought anyone with a winning record
Carvalho had won 1 round against Zbik 2 fights earlier
