Isn't it a little too late for an "immediate" rematch?

Yes. I don't see how it can go down as a win, it's a no contest.

Nothings really changed from them needing to meet then, to now.

Unfortunately for Hopkins though, he's gotten older.

Even with An immediate rematch chad would beat him, he was faster, stronger, bigger, granted intelligence wins fights but this was a focused chad we're talking about here and pressing forward coupled that with his natural abilities I saw no way that hopkins would win, perhaps if hopkins frustrated him but I'm sure scully would've gotten to chad and told him exactly what was going on

Not sure how it would be an immediate rematch right now.

But nobody wants to see it. Nobody even wanted to see the first fight and it would probably be the first time in history that a rematch garnered less attetion and less money the the first fight

As much as I agree with you... there's a reason a fight is 12 rounds... Nard is incredibly smart... I can't draw a conclusion of what happens in round 7, based on round 1 and 2.

I honestly believe somehow bernard would have adapted too but I still would've chose chad, if bernard somehow neutralized chad's jab then I can definitely increased his chances but then he had to contend with chad's combination counters.

Not taking anything away from Hopkins but i believe he would lose, he should choose a good opponent to end his career on so he dosen't go out on that performance. He can't go on winning forever, both Tarver, Pavlik and Pascal II where great wins to end his career on, he can't have many such performances left. He really cares about his legacy so i assume he won't fight on forever.

Nobody wanted to see it? Sure, it wasn't a PPV caliber match up, but there was a great deal of interest in this fight. People had wanted to watch this one for years, many believed Hopkins wanted not part of Dawson. You also had the number 1 guy against the number 2 guy in the division. No need to make shi.t up.
