That's what Hopkins is saying and I agree. But that's not about playing the "good guy."
I know what he's saying I just added my own tidbit.

As for Jim Brown, I think he was always the good guy it's just it took time for the masses to recognize it as times changed.

Floyd, he honestly makes people despise him. I mean you see it every day on NSB haha, people literally hate him with a passion.

This country as a whole needs more athletes and high profile persons of all races and backgrounds to speak up about all the BS that is going on.

IMO Jim Brown was pretty much ostracized after a while but the black community has so much respect for him that those who didn't like him couldn't nullify him.

Brown was despised as well. Primarily for the same reason Floyd is. But again, I don't think a switch to the "good guy" role would do anything. Not even sure what that role is.

I disagree I think brown was despised for his social consciousness whereas floyd is despised for his ego, money, lifestyle, etc.

Yeah. Would be nice to see Floyd take that role.

I think both are/were despised because they were Black.

The good guy role is to never rock the boat, stay in they so called place, don't make comments about the establishment. Even when you know things are wrong smile and shut the **** up about it. Stuff like that is considered part of the good guy role.

Jim Brown was socially conscious and everything you named about PBF. Did you ever see that Jim Brown special I think HBO did? It was a former football player that was friends with Jim Brown and he said they would always go out and party and that if a dude walked in there with his girl, the chick left with either him or Jim Brown. It also talked about him ****ing all the big white actresses at the time. The kicker was there was this model chick at Jim Brown house and the rumor was that when the police came and knocked on the door Jim Brown threw the model off his balcony cause he didn't want the racist cops to catch him with her. Jim Brown says he didn't throw her off the balcony she jumped cause she didn't want him to get in trouble. On that special the model chick says everything that would lead you to believe that he threw her off the balcony except she never says directly that he threw her off the balcony.

No matter what people say white america hates a socially conscious, wealthy, strong, flamboyant black man.

I think floyds style make him more rememerable in the long run. Even though joe louis, SRR, SRL were media friendly they aré remembered by boxing fans but characters like Ali, Tyson and Floyd the whole world will always remember.

Good interview by BHOP hes the ****in man classy as ever but also knows how to turn up the heat throwing the PR flag down and the calzaghe white boy comments.
