That guy Ortiz fought Bryan Polley was in very poor physical condition, and shouldn't even have been licensed to fight.

        Yes, ha ha.

Still, Ortiz has talent. He shouldn't be slumming it out with this kind of opposition. Perhaps another tune up, to get rid of the ring rust, then a fight against a top 15 HW.

Polley looked obese, no telling he was gonna come in that shape though. Hopefully he gets a stab at the WBA before Chagaev is mandated again.

Wilder stalling on negotiations with Povetkin, doesn't want the fight (use google translate)

No surprise. I suspect Haymon will come to an arrangement with the WBC to get Povetkin out of the picture.

Ultimately, I think, Wilder will face Povetkin late 2015/early 2016. However, I could see a scenario where, after Wilder fights in September, he negotiates with Wlad for a possible unification bout and they pay Povetkin some 'step aside' money.

I'm a fan of Wilder's but I don't think he'll hold onto the WBC title very long. He has so many flaws in his game and there are many good heavyweights coming into the picture now. There's Joshua and Parker, both who I think beat him easily

I expect the same of Wilder, they've had him on commercials etc and have kept him on Showtime for what ultimately I expect will be a ppv show vs Wlad. No way he faces Povetkin, him being his mandatory will speed up the process of unification.

Would they even need to pay the dude to step aside with unifications taking precedence ? I never understood the notion of paying somebody aside unless of course it's your mandatory and you're fighting anybody instead.

Its possible. Haymon and Wilder will want to cash-out with a unification bout, so expect demands such as the fight taking place in the US, 50:50 purse etc.

This will be a longer summer/autumn.
