        from The Ring website:

Haye and Fury could clash in late summer

        by Harry Pratt

British heavyweight contenders David Haye and Tyson Fury appear to be on course for a late summer showdown in Manchester, England.

The Sun newspaper in the UK reported on Saturday that the MEN Arena is on standby, with a date of Sept. 28 already provisionally booked. The exclusive article also claimed that talks between the Haye and Fury camps are well underway.

Haye, 32, was forced to withdraw from a contest against Manuel Charr, slated for June 29, after sustaining a hand injury in training.

That postponement could cause problems because Charr still has a contract to fight Haye – and he would expect compensation if the bout was scrapped.

Haye (26-2, 24 knockouts) versus countryman Fury (21-0, 15 KOs) would generate massive interest both in Britain and beyond as the two have become bitter rivals over the course of the year. And it would be equally certain to generate huge income at the box office.

The 6-foot-9 Fury, from Manchester, has been calling out Haye on a regular basis, usually via Twitter, but until now has avoided all approaches to face the former WBA titleholder.

However Haye, from south London, definitely appears up for the scrap as he attempts to find a route back to the top of the division.

"If my manager and trainer Adam Booth can set this up, I will knock him down." Haye told SunSport.

Good article on British heavyweights here:

The British heavyweight scene is currently booming with talent. The likes of David Price, David Haye, Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury are all good fighters and the talented prospect of amateur boxer Anthony Joshua exciting many. The heavyweight division is dominated by the Klitschko brothers, who are very good fighters but lack excitement and often
