Hah hah hah, I knew it - I knew it would be cancelled or postponed again. The problem with scheduling a fight so far in advance is that there's much more time for something to happen e.g. injury, cancellation, etc. That's what happened with the Mitchell-Banks fight last year. It almost didn't happen because it was booked so far in advance.

It's frustrating because it's delaying Vitali's decision on retirement.

If Arrola wins, Vitali retires because Arreola will be willing to unify with Wlad.

If Stiverne wins, he'll have to fight him because a Don King fighter will never unify with Wladimir.

I admire Vitali's intention in helping his brother to get in position to unify but this scenario is not that likely, I think.

If Arreola wins the eliminator then Vitali vacates, thus elevating Chris to "champion" status; I think his promoters will try to milk the title for a couple defenses before putting it on the line (and basically giving it up) to face Wladimir.

I don't see a scenario where Arreola beats Stivernere and then immediately fights Wladimir

And during that time Wlad will have a few fights with Pulev and whoever will be declared his WBO mandatory.

But Arreola-Wlad would be a huge money fight for both, and so I think eventually they'd do it.

Mariusz Wach is planning to fight again in late April. He's banned for a year in Germany, but may still be permitted to fight somewhere else (maybe Poland
).
