Marco Huck will move up to HW after his fight with Arslan on Saturday. He has been in discussions with Bernd Bonte about fighting one of the Klitschkos in 2013:

Vitali Klitschko did not win in the Ukraine elections and so will likely not retire:

      from fight news:

According to exit polls, the “PUNCH” party founded by reigning WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko won approximately 12-15% of the seats in Sunday’s Ukrainian elections, placing third overall. “We must still analyze everything: why we could have won more votes but failed to do so,” Klitschko told AFP. The champion will continue to head the party in the Ukraine Parliament and work to establish a coalition with other opposition parties. As far as whether he will fight again anytime soon, that remains to be seen.

Didn't think Huck would bother with Afolabi again; both fights were difficult and there's more opportunity for him if he moves up. One decent win at heavyweight is all he really needs to land an optional defense against the Klitschkos, the money and interest is there. But who would fight him?

At the WBA convention today, it was decided that Wladimir Klitschko has to fight Alexander Povetkin by Feb 27 or he'll be stripped of his WBA title:

                from fight news.com

WBA vice president Gilberto Jesus Mendoza declared Klitschko’s upcoming defense against Mariusz Wach on November 10, to be his last allowed optional under WBA rules. The defense against Povetkin will be due by February 27, 2013.
Seems unreasonable. Wlad should have until April to fight Povetkin.

Interesting how Guillermo Jones and Felix Sturm were allowed to keep their WBA titles for years.

Extensive Wladimir Klitschko interview here. He talks about himself and his future, about Vitali, his political career and his retirement (use google chrome which will translate it from Russian).

I wonder how Povetkin will manage to duck Wladimir this time...
