    Highest paid boxers right now...?

If someone could provide this information with numbers and source, I'd greatly appreciate it. It's for a presentation I'll be doing.

I have googled around and found some results from 2008 but I'm hoping someone has some more up to date numbers.

Also, this one to fellow Puerto Ricans, if they could talk to me a little bit about boxing in Puerto Rico or direct me to a link that talks about the sport in the island (it's importance, roots, popularity etc etc) ... I'd appreciate it as well.

That info is hard to find. Much is based on speculation or how much of the contract info is divulged by either promoter or fighter.

It's actual money + gate % (if any) + PPV % (if any) + foreign tv rights (if any)

Plus you gotta wonder if someone like Arum even makes a cut with alcohol and food sales, depending on the venue.

      Then you have sponsored fighters...

      Hard to find info.

The fighters actually make a lot more than what is given in this list from ppv%, ticket sales, sponsors, and endorsements.

I remember reading that Ward and Froch are each making a minimum of $2.75 million US Dollar from fight win bonuses, ticket sales and international television deals and the winner of that fight will make a really nice penny in their next fight. Cotto vs. Margarito II- Cotto earned a minimum of $5 million it will be much much more after the ppv buys(over 600k) and ticket sales(in excess of $3.3 million.) Margarito had a minimum of $2.75 million.

Thanks a lot man, truly helps out.

Well it's not for me, it's for my girlfriend. She is doing her masters/ maestria in UPR (social worker) and she is taking some class about analysis of I don't know what lol and she chose boxing as topic of discussion. She loves boxing like I do so she asked me to help her out with it.

Also a question... Boxing doesn't have a main commission that regulates the entire sport like the NBA, MLB, etc etc do.. right?

Thing is I'm touching up on the business aspect of the sport and how it affects the sport itself.

No unfortunately they do not and two things the sport sorely needs is ONE GOVERNING BODY and a UNION to protect fighters.

You need anymore help on that project shoot ur questions at me.

She should call PR Best Boxing, Golden Boy, and Miguel Cotto Promotions. They make shows in Puerto Rico.

Rumor has it that Pedraza was given 20K in order to become professional. That's not verified, but it's a rumor I heard from one of his rivals.

vitali klitschko should be in there right behind wladimir, and ahead of haye. . .

decent idea of where they stand, but not completely accurate. . . also kessler makes HELLA PPV money from denmark, where it's like the equivalent of 60 pounds, or 80 dollars to watch his fights. . . also, i bet danny green makes a few million dollars everytime he steps in the ring because he actually runs his entire promotional company. . . and he's a decent attraction in australia - prolly does at least a few hundred k buys everytime he figths. . .
