Margarito proved a few things this past weekend, (1) nothing fazes him (2) he really is crazy (3) he is at the point where Uncle Bob needs to match him up properly and (4) he's still a good fighter with an amazing chin and stamina.
I may be a Cotto 'stan' or whatever it is, but I still have some love for the Tijuana Tornado and want to see him fight more if he's cleared again.
So bearing that in mind, and understanding that he needs some time to heal the wounds, probably both physically and maybe a bit emotionally (because I think losing to Cotto is destroying his pride right now), what do you want to see Tony do with his career. (Please note, 'retiring' is not an option in this thread).
--Canelo Alvarez; in mexico would be a massive fight and I believe a winnable fight for Tony. Alvarez isn't quick on his feet and has questionable durability and stamina. I don't think he's physically stronger either. I see a fight playing out where Canelo is hanging out on the ropes looking to counter (ala Gomez fight) and Tony giving him the business in the body. I'd tune in
--Ricardo Mayorga; Bad guy v. Bad guy in a match of chin tested warriors mainly fighting for pride and dignity. Would be a wonderful undercard fight or a great BAD fight. I don't think either can KO the other, so it'll be 12 rounds of savagery.
--Paul Williams 2; Both guys have been beaten up in recent fights, the first fight was a good fight with Tony making a run at it. Its a chance for Tony to finish what he started and also a chance for Paul to try to look good again. I think its a good fight for both of them to try and pick themselves up.
--Delvin Rodriguez; Delvin looked good in dispatching the now retired Wolak  and is in need for a big time opponent. Margarito needs to fight a guy that maybe poses no serious threat in further damaging his face and it could set up who would be the divisions formal 'gate keeper'. Both guys will bring it because they'd have no other options if they'd lose. I'd say make it on ESPN or BAD and we're good to go.
--K9; K9 is holding a belt hostage and needs a dance partner. Margarito could certainly use a pick me up and a fight against K9 would be good business for Tony to get back to winning. He's tougher, stronger and is just the better fighter. K9 however is a ****er and will make it intriguing. Its a good fight for both of them as K9 will finally get a chance at a decent payday and add a name other than Spinks. Tony has a chance at capturing a title and set himself up back for another decent fight.
--Molina; just a good ol mexican barn burner. These two will slug it out in the middle to determine who in fact is just the baddest mexican in the 154 division. Molina has been making strides of late with his draw against Lara and his demolition of Kermit, the adoptive son of Antonio. Its only natural that he furthers his name brand by taking out the father as well. Its a good fight where I think Antonio has a reasonable chance at success at winning against a man in the upward trajectory. Put it on BAD or undercard and we have a winner as well.
These who I think Tony should fight that nets him the best chance of success. I omitted Lara because he'll employ the same exact style of Cotto or Pacquaio and just lay waste to him. Martinez goes w/o saying. JCC Jr is much to big. He really is nearing SMW at this point. I took out Vanes, because seriously, nobody wants to see that internet gangster on TV. I admittingly don't know enough of Trout yet and at the moment, no need for Cotto 3.
