What Cotto must do (in order) to get a rematch with pacquaio

Nobody needs to see Cotto vs Margo 3, especially not with that eye.

Mayweather doesnt want and more importantly need a Cotto fight.

Kirkland would be great though.

He is with Bob so all he realistically has to do is ask for the Pacman fight.

Actually it's already in place. Pac looked normal in last fight and Cotto looked good. The sale is there if they want to really make it happen in the next couple months.

What you really mean is that he must look like hot garbage like Clottey, Mosley & Margarito instead of this 3 ko streak he put together right? But seriously people payed for Pacman-Clottey, nuff said.

All those are good, but if he fights Floyd, I don't think fighting Pac is really important at that point. Cotto will have gotten his enormous payday and if somehow he does manage to beat Floyd, that would put Cotto at the top and that point it wouldn't matter if he fought Pac or not. And I suppose to a lesser degree the same could be said if he defeated Sergio Martinez.

1. A rubber match with Margo makes no sense. His eye is really messed up now and Tony would never quit..i really believe he would rather die than quit. And Cotto don't want nothing to do with him anymore, so that book is closed.

2. Cotto needs to stay away from Floyd and Pac.

If Floyd ducks again and Tim Bradley is not available....Cotto is a go.

A rematch for what? He was completely blown out in 09 and somehow in '12 he would deserve (or possibly perform better) another fight? Kinda like the third Morales fight?

I'll pass. The thing is though, it's not so far fetched.

If Marg's eye is never the same I agree but if not then a third is a valid fight. Gotta see what the future brings.
