wow the crowd reaction was hilarious !!!! they started booing from the middle 2nd round !!!!! and whats up with mayweather padding his record by only fighting 4 rounds !!!!! anyway back to the main point of the thread mayweather and cuts !!!!! anyone with 2 eyes can see that ortiz cutting mayweather definatly threw him off his game plan !!!! floyd was confused and didnt know how to react like a real professional !!!! manny who was also delibratly cut in his fight with marquez didnt take the easy way out instead he did what champion do !!! he won the championship rounds!!!!!

And if I remember correctly, that isn't the only time he has been cut over his eye by a headbutt.

Unless I'm thinking of the same fight. Pretty sure it wasn't his second pro fight, though.

He was cut above his eye again against some spanish dude, I think it was Nunez.

He was cut by a head clash in the 2nd round in the 1st fight he had with Jose Luis Castillo. It wouldn't be no thing. He's a fighter. They're prepared for these kinds of things.

Depending on how bad the cut is, he might become more aggressive and go for the knockout if the cut looks really bad. In any other case I see him sticking to his gameplan and keeping calm. Remember in the first round of the Mosley fight, mosley hit floyd with a good shot that buckled his legs. How did FLoyd respond? He stuck to his gameplan and and continued to go toe to toe with shane. That's how good floyd responds when faced with adversity

I think his mindset is alot different from then till now though. Back then he was young and knew he had a rough road ahead of him if he wanted to make it to the top. He was a hungrier fighter with plenty to prove. Now he's sitting comfortably at the top with an ego bigger than Mt. Everest.

He was upset by the intentional headbutt causing the cut not the cut itself. And he didn't lose his composure which is why he was able to hit Ortiz with a left hook and a straight right.

The hilarity and irony of the situation is the person who committed the foul was the one to lose his composure. Idiot forgot he was in a fight and left his guard down.
