What fighters did you change your opinion of?

Are there any fighters that you either disliked before you eventually became a fan of them, or liked them before they did something to make you dislike them? For me, I have been a big Khan fan for a while, I even defended him when he got knocked out by Prescott, but more and more I am really starting to dislike the guy. I am getting tired of him always trying to be the center of attention all the damn time and even willing to throw other fighters (Pacquiao) under the bus just to see his damn name in the newspaper. My others:

I disliked before becoming a fan:
De La Hoya - won me over with the Quartey win
Vitali - Became a big fan after watching him kick Lewis' ass
Winky Wright - Became a fan after I met him

I liked but eventually would dislike:
Bernard Hopkins - Throwing down the PR flag and dirty tactics
Wlad Klitschko - For being soft in fights
Vic Darchinyan - For the way he acted after the Donaire fight

I disliked Floyd completely & was a borderline ******* at one time.

I still dislike Floyd, but I've come to realize that he is actually a better fighter than Pacman & he actually beats champions when he cherrypicks. Pacman just cherrypicks & lets the world blame Floyd. Floyd is the lesser evil of the 2.

I like Khan now, didn't before. I am starting to get tired of Martinez, who won't fight the best in his weightclass after I've disliked Pacman & Floyd for the same thing.

Adrien Broner. I thought he was boring and borderline ******ed. Then I heard his post fight interview with Kellerman in the most recent fight and I still think he's pretty ****** but he sounded much more articulate than I remember. And now he's knocking people the fcuk out.

I disliked Floyd all the way until after the Hatton fight...then I gave up thinking he will ever lose and decided I should appreciate what I was seeing. Then the ******* invasion came and I found myself constantly defending a guy I didn't really like in the first place.

I used to really like BHop back when he promoted himself, was blackballed by all the promoters, and ESPN and everybody would say nothing but bad things about him...I have gradually liked him less and less through the years.

In his prime I never really gave Oscar the credit he deserved, I considered him to be vastly overrated. Now that some time has passed I have found myself appreciating him more than I ever did when he was still fighting.

I used to really like Pacquiao, but his fanbase has made it almost impossible to support the guy.

More immediately I disliked Khan, then I grew to like him because he is very exciting, but now that he never seems to STFU I am starting to dislike him again.

I could go on and on.

          Too many to count.

Hopkins - loved his performance against Tito, loved him against Taylor and Tarver but it's been all downhill lately.

Floyd - loved him coming up, hated him from 06-09 and is back on my good side ever since.

Manny - loved him coming up, not feeling what he did after the first Morales bout but fell in love with the Oscar bout. it's been all downhill since he first uttered some BS about drug testing.

Oscar - Hated him from jump, saw the pseudo-****** photos and now I just feel bad for him.

            Hmm...

Shane Mosley--Was a big fan in his LW years, then the steroid abuse. He stole a win from De La Hoya and who knows how many else. Now, I just look at the guy sad.

Felix Trinidad--Wow...I think less of him ever since the Hopkins fight. The way he tucked his tail and ran from boxing after he was embarrassed was more embarrassing than the loss itself. He retired, came back to beat up a game Mayorga a few years later, got embarrassed by Winky then retired again for three years to comeback at LHW as a pudgy caricature of himself, losing again and finally just going away. As a PR, I get so mad because he seemed to be just a coward in the face of defeat/opposition.

Bernard Hopkins--I hated him for being a disrespectful to PR, just like I wanted to smack all the Ricans in attendance this past weekend when I was at MSG and they were booing the Mexican anthem. (Credit to section 338/339/340 for not booing). But wow, I realized his game and he simply beat Tito in his mind. His ability to keep rising and keep winning despite all odds is amazing. Plus I got to meet him about 6 years ago by chance in Chickies n Petes and he was just cool guy.

I don't think there is anything Broner can do, short of curing cancer with his fists that will ever allow me to like him.

I didnt like Froch cos i was a Calzaghe fanboy and he annoyed me. He's one of my fave fighters now. Constantly fights the best and is usually entertaining in and out of the ring.

I never really liked Floyd but the way he KOd Ortiz after getting head butted made me a fan. That and the Pac fans have been getting on my nerves a lot which might have made me like him a bit more in the hope he'll fight and beat him so they'll **** of.
