    TBH, I'd say it's about 50/50. . .
He had 500k with them put together....

And, Marg did have PPV before Cotto...Independent ones and an ESPN one not on HBO and none came close to what he sold against Cotto.

24/7 is a very powerful marketing tool, but it's still good numbers.

Calzaghe vs Jones jr did 225k i think, and it also had a 24/7.

Yeah the ESPN fight with Cintron did like 225k. But ESPN promoted the **** out of that.

That's around what Cotto did with Judah and Mosley. And, a commercials on your network is not "promoting the shit out of it"

Thanks for clarifying that for me. Rich Cabeza.

My guess is ESPN didn't get a good return on their investment because I don't recall another boxing ppv. But I could be wrong.

...why would anyone want to see a man who is 1-3 today? let's face it Margarito will probably never be on a PPV main even again.Cotto is a cash cow next to this guy.

If true that's great considering it's not Floyd or Pac.

The PPV was probably 50/50 or maybe 60/40. There are a lot of mexican that bought the PPV. The Garden was 90/10

Cotto at one point was 2-2 and in one several people thought he lost. If Margarito's eye really recovers somehow and with Arum promoting, he could be back. Cash cow next to him? Just know that Cotto just like many prizefighters NEED a dancing partner. Alone they don't really do much.

Cotto is definitely the third biggest draw behind Floyd and Pac. Great number.
