Comments Thread For: Austin Trout: I Want Miguel Cotto, D. Rodriguez, Kirkland

It’s been a good year for Austin Trout.

The 26-year-old from Las Cruces, N.M., picked up a vacant world title in February with a decision win over Rigoberto Alvarez and then defended it twice, out-pointing David Lopez in June and stopping Frank LoPorto on Showtime in November.

Trout may very well be the best at 154 right now. it's a shame that boxing has evolved into this. I blame arum. Trout beat everyone at 154 not named Martinez. I'd bet the bank on that.

I'm not sold yet. He's legit fighter no doubt. But he's not quite elite yet. He lacks power and some accuacy. He missed a lot shots vs a punching bag in his last fight.

hope gets 1 of the 3...Delvin too small...Kirkland would blitz Trout but give him a chance w/Cotto &Canelo in that he can box & move & if he does well early force them to come at him & then manuver & turn them...Cotto would be the more difficult of the 2...still Trout has never faced the power of all 3 & could just crumble...a lot of speculation...

U make it seem u fought a top 10 fighter! Hilarious! Cotto? Thats not gna happen! Ur a no namer, Delvin? Big deal! Hes a natural 147pounder and even he will beat you, Kirkland? He will drop u in the 3rd round! U have n power, ur hand are like pillows! Maybe u shld fight Cintron, maybe 58 yr old Bundrag, LOL, call out Alfonso Gomez hell fight u, OH i got a good one Sergio ( I fight once a year) against no namers Mora! Thats a good match! LOL! Trout at least has a WBA world championship belt. He shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as Vanes.
