Comments Thread For: Weekend Review: Robberies or Many Compelling Fights?

December started with a **** here in the UK with fans treated to an entire weekend of boxing as well as enough scorecard controversy, imagined or otherwise, to last them for at least three days. Martin Murray, Dereck Chisora, Brian Rose, Prince Arron and John Murray just some of the names in action over a forty eight hour period that was a real test for the attention span, Sky+ capacity and backsides of British boxing fans. Both Sky and BoxNation provided a deluge of coverage to launch the festive period and the action crisscrossed the continent before finishing over in New York for the heavily hyped, ultimately disappointing, Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito bill.

So this writer is claiming that because only 2 judges scored it for Helenius that it can't be fixed? That's just rediculous. Chisora won the fight plain and simple. I'm starting to realise that B Scene is full of **** and out to protect promoters and fighters. We need real alternative media here because the popular sites don't give it to you straight. They are always trying to change our perception of what really happened.

Hello, I wrote the article and don't quite get what you're saying. A UK based writer who has interviewed Chisora more than once, has interviewed his promoter more than once and has never done any work with Helenius or his people is trying to warp the fight in order to protect the promoters that's he's never worked with before and are based in another country?

That is a compelling theory. Even more compelling, but flat out mental, is the idea that I watched the fight, scored it for Helenius and offered my take.

The fight wasn't fixed. Look at the scorecards for an insight into why it went the way it did.

Cheers for the reads and once again, I'm not from Finland!
