I definitely do not want to see Chavez-Cotto. All the other matches are interesting.

Chavez is the only in-house option so it probably will be him.

Chavez Jr. is about to be stripped, so what belt would they fight for? I'm sure Martinez would change his plans, for a shot a Cotto.

HA. Sampson Lewkowicz sees this glimmer of hope and goes on an all out binge in 3.........2.........1

Although if the WBC wants to save an ounce of face they're gonna have to strip Chavez which would make that fight way less appealing.

is there any proof the WBC will strip chavez? They've been saying that for a while now so I wouldn't count on it.

I think the WBC knows Chavez vs Cotto is more money than Chavez vs Martinez, so I would bet they're not going to strip him at all.

I'm surprised Bob Arum uttered Martinez' name. Anyway, if Martinez gets shot at Cotto, he'll drop the Mach 17 date in a heartbeat. And if Cotto wants a belt, Martinez still has the Ring belt and can fight at 155. The one hope Martinez has is that most of the top jr middleweight guys are on Golden Boy so those fights would be hard to make. Bob Arum has worked with Dibella plenty of time so it might be doable.

Was Arum implying that when Mayweather loses to Pacquaio, that he assumes that Mayweather/Cotto is more likely?

I wonder why he didn't throw Pac's name in there though

Unfortunately, all three would beat Cotto. Although, he may have a better chance against Martinez. Chavez, too big. Canelo to though, very alive.
