Timothy Bradley vs Miguel Cotto up next?

Bob's got two guys that he kinda stands behind.

You can tell he's not crazy about Cotto or Bradley.

But he needs a legit opponent for Pac not named Floyd.

This could be next after Bradley has one more fight.

    Keep it all in house.

    Thoughts?

Big jump for Bradley from 140 to 154.

Plus, Cotto is going to start commanding a lot of money. This fight isn't an easy sell on PPV and Cotto is gonna want similar money to what he got for this Margarito fight.

I can't see it happening even with both of them being Top Rank fighters. Cotto isn't meeting Bradley at a catch weight.

I would only entertain this just for the perverse thoughts of seeing Bradley taken out on a stretcher. I hate that dude

I know where you're going, but I'm sure both Cotto and Bradley have better options out there for their next fights. Plus Bradley is really just not that interesting - the fight would not create enough buzz.

I see Bradley in the ring with some top welters next year though, predictably Mike Jones. If he stays at 140 maybe Rios, although I doubt Top Rank would be willing to make that fight.

Bradley has fought at 147 before and fought at 154 in the amateurs.

Tim will have another fight vs hopefully a bigger name then himself.

          Maybe Clottey?

That would be a good fight for him. A bulldog who just finds a way to win(Bradley) vs a guy that just finds ways to lose. He would definitely beat Clottey and I agree with taking that kind of route if they plan on matching Cotto and Bradley.

But still.....I know he fought at '54 in the ams, but to go straight from 140 to 154 at the pro level is still something I think Top Rank would balk at.

I cant see it myself. IF he is to remain with Bob its gonna be Pacquaio 2 (should the May vs Pac fight fall through) or Chavez at MW (which im not crazy on)

I think he'd love another crack at Manny and will hold off on any decisions until its clear if Manny and Mayweather are to fight, if they are then jump to GBP and take on Alvarez, Kirkland, Ortiz/Berto, Williams and Mayweather once he has done with Pacquaio

Alot of quality fights out there for Cotto, im not sure if he can still do WW and keep his strength/speed but if he can then u have the Bradley fight available but not before Khan and Marquez....

why would you say bob isn't crazy about cotto? I'd say he's one of his best money makers on his roster. I think he's fully committed to making Cotto vs Chavez jr., I think that's the fight he wants for Cotto by far.

Clottey's high guard and decent speed would stylistically give anyone problems. But I doubt he'd be able to make welterweight nowadays.
