Why did the NYSAC doctors let Wolak continue his fight but stopped Margarito?

I wanna make it clear I'm not arguing the stoppage, I'm one of those who thought the texas doctors and Garcia were a disgrace for letting Margarito go on with a destroyed eye socket so I can't complain about the NYSAC doctors stopping it. The problem is it was hypocritical because they didn't stop Pawel Wolak in the first Rodriguez fight even though his eye looked a LOT worse than Margarito's :





Fair decision but they're not consistent, that's why it feels like they did it to protect themselves after the whole drama about Margarito's eye and his licensing issue.

Because Margarito nearly went blind recently and has had major surgery recently and Wolak didnt and hasnt. They had just cleared him to fight saying "All's well with that plastic eye, of course you can fight Mr Margarito, Oh and Mr Arum, thank you for the 'donation'" - if he had gone blind in that fight it all would have come back on them. I thought that was obvious?

I'm not talking about the Wolak/Rodriguez rematch on the undercard, I'm talking about the first fight which also took place in NYC. In that fight Wolak's eye looked like a g**** fruit but the doctor let him continue.

1. Margo didnt win a round. The fight was not competitive. Wolak fight was competitive.
2. Before the fight there was concerned with that eye. In was in everyone's mind. NYSAC did not want to look bad if something bad happened to Tony.

yes the stoppage was premature giving margs raw heart and preserverance!! no marg was not going to win anyhow, no marg wasnt going to stop cotto, yes cotto was starting really hurt marg, yes it was margs own ******ity in not trying to protect the target eye more knowing it was easily prone to damage and swelling. yes the doc and officals knew that one eyed monster was only hurting himself in continuing to take cottos bombs, and knowing that he could have his career ended by possible blindness. So Marg and fans should quit b*itchn and say thanx docs for allowing Marg to fight another day!! End thread.....
