    James DeGale

Now I’m English and of course, i’ll always back him against a boxer from overseas, however, is it just me or does the thought of watching James DeGale bore you before the bell has even sounded?

Plod, plod, plod, left then right. Bore off!

He’s got no charisma, no character and his connection with his public is as cosy as an electric toaster in the tub.

I hate to say it but i almost want him to get knocked out so he just disappears.

People went crazy about him after the P Smith victory! Woooohhhh slow down! I think his last performance was more a reflection of what DeGale is. Boring and overrated.

Saying that, come on DeGale on Friday !!

he's alright. he thinks natural athletic gifts will get him to the top. he needs to start using his head and being smarter, then he can go far

Yeah I don't really like him.

He is a dull personality. I think he's dull to watch too. Groves is the more engaging personality out of the two. DeGale done a lot damage to himself in that fight, not in the fight itself but that he just came across as a bit of a knob.

His inability to string a sentence together is also off-putting, he reminds me of Mayweather. We have one language, we don't have to learn another one and when people can't even master that one language - can there be a sadder indictment of a man's character?

And our boxers however good they are, are nearly always quite engaging characters. Eloquent, smart, witty, etc. We're lucky in that respect. Not with DeGale. He has to be really, really, good - or no one will be that interested.

St George retired him. In his next fight Groves' bombs will catch up with him and resonate around his thick skull until he quits on one knee. Which reminds me - did anyone else roar at the g mans legs in the documentary last night?

          My thoughts on DeGale..

          *He's ****.
          *He's boring.
*He's all bull****. Nothing genuine about him.
*He struggled in his last fight IMO.
*He is the biggest arsehole in British Boxing now Haye has retired.
          *He talks like a ******.

I like George Groves because hes a decent fighter....but i could cry considering we used to have Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank....real fighters.

That documentary last night was fantastic.

Degales got some skill + his last fight wasn't bad to watch.

He's learning I think he will come good in time.

DeGales' biggest issue is that he's not doing what is natural to him. You could see it a LOT in his last fight, he's trying to out think his opponent and as a result is thinking too much before throwing. This is likely not helped by his corner who seem to conflict with their comments on an almost round by round basis. He needs to go back to what he does naturally and not try to be so cerebral.

Never really understood the hype with DeGale TBH. He's ok but nothing great. Can't see him beating any of the top guys in the division ever.

I would also like to see him KO'd.

He's far too big for his boots, is thicker than pig **** and is so dull that watching paint dry is far more entertaining.

He thinks he's far better than sliced bread and watching him struggle with Groves and struggle in his last fight should be enough indicators for him to change his attitude and get the public on his side. But he's far too thick to realise that.

Chunky is the future. You'll on jump back on the bandwagon when he starts tearing ***** up.

Should really lose that deadweight Jim McDonnell though. Hes holding him back.
