100% of people scored the 9th for Cotto on that website too. A site of boxing fans that can score bouts how they please.
:rofl1:
*Edit
All 3 judges had the 9th for Cotto as well, those damn fan boys!
Here is where you shut your mouth.... all three official judges, gave Antonio Margarito 3 separate rounds in that fight this was in NY Cottos back yard..
3 separate rounds between the judges think about that for a second
After the fight was over it was evident that Cotto wanted more...Could it have gone one more round? I think so. Would it have changed the outcome? No.
The truth is that Cotto dominated every aspect of Margarito's game on Saturday night. He used lateral movement to neutralize Margarito's forward pressure, he clinched when he needed to and pushed Margarito away when it called for a break. Several times, he turned Margarito and put him up against the ropes... Cotto was hitting, and not being hit, throwing combinations that had Margarito's head snapping.
Though subtle differences, this fight had completely different chemistry from their first meet. Margarito did not exude the same confidence as he did in their first fight... his gait was not as confident as the first fight, his taunts and smiles were almost masking his confusion... Margarito had no "plan B". He thought that the fight would be the same as their first encounter, and it was everything but that, it was a new meeting with different challenges... a puzzle that he had not figured out by the end of the ninth round.
I have watched the fight three times now and Margarito won one round, barely. It was clear to me that Margarito was not going to win the fight, regardless of a pre-existing eye injury, regardless of how long the fight went, he just didn't have what it took on Saturday night to turn the momentum his way.
Cotto's approach was different, his attack was precise and well planned... I don't think Margarito had a solution for the puzzle that Cotto handed him...

He won 1 round on each of their cards out of 9 rounds..YEAA TONY GOT ROBBED!..I bet none of them gave him the 9th..I'll put 10mil points up on that.
I liked the fight, good performance from Cotto, however, having it stopped by swelling on Marg's previously injured eye took something from the win IMO.

wasnt saying he was robbed, they stopped it too soon if I had given tony three rounds on my card and there was three left guess what? you already know.
and again at the time he was turning it on the Dr saved Miguel from another ass beating only this time in front of his home town fans and saving his kid from the terror of Margarito once again
Here are the official cards... one gave tony round 4 another gave him round 7 another gave him round 9 its not out of the question to have that score

I won't lie it did.
I wanted Cotto to get a TKO and I think he was saving energy for the 11th n 12th like he did Mayorga, and unleash it all, by then Margarito would've been beat to hell and in survival mode.
I find it funny that people say Cotto was gassing, because they saw him clinch and push, and these are the same people who said if Cotto would've clinched the first time he would've won, now it's called gassing..smh

I think you need to take a look at the 8th when they called time, look at Cottos breathing when the tape was being put on his glove...
he went flat in round 9 Tony knew it look at his gesture at the end of the round when he turned and looked at Robert Garcia... he knew Cotto shot his load and it was his time to get him out of there

Fair enough 10mil sent
but if Margarito would've won rounds 10-12 on ALL of their cards Cotto would still win a UD 8 rounds to 4..lol..so what's the argument?..that Cotto was en route to getting stopped?!..

actually if Margarito swept the last three and you gave him rounds 4, 7 and 9 you have a draw... either way if you scored it round 4 and 9 for Margarito as I did cus I cant change my score today I live with the score I had on fight night cus that is the fight I saw then.
but what that means is you have high drama in the last three rounds.....
I aint one to say I scored three rounds for Tony though there was a close round in round 7 but I will say I did give him the 4th and the 9th and if you pay attention between rounds 4 through 7 even though Cotto won 5,6,&7 Margarito did enough to the body to win in another way if you know what I mean.
and I believe that other way showed up in the 9th, I again wont take anything from Miguel, However I am going to be honest to me that isnt revenge, you dont win a fight call it revenge and have your opponent trash talking you on the way out, you beat him down and humble him so he has no choice but to respect you and that didnt happen neither....
Yes he out boxed Tony in most of the rounds but he did not beat his ass or put a whipping on him he out boxed him and there is a difference
