Comments Thread For: Alexander Povetkin: I Would Like To Fight Tyson Fury

WBA "regular" world heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (23-0, 16 KOs) has a lot of challengers lining up to face him. Within an hour after knocking out Cedric Boswell on Saturday night in Helsinki, Povetkin was challenged by popular WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck (34-1, 25 KOs). Povetkin's next fight is likely against the WBA's mandatory contender, 39-year-old former two-time champion Hasim Rahman (50-7-2, 41 KOs).

Makes sense to fight Fury whilst he is just a baby.

He's only going to get better.

I thought Rahman was retired. He's a mandatory? And I guess Holyfield is next. Or maybe Povetkin will call out Larry Holmes or Trevor Berbick. The ultimate fake champion.

rahman is 6-0 vs bums but was the #3 behind povetkin & chagaev. they fought for vacant "regular" title which shot rahman to # 1. helenius won the WBA intercontinental belt after to move to the # 2.

Povetkin is pretty pathetic. He is literally hanging around until the Klitschko's retire. Grow a pair Povetkin. So sad.

Povetkin needs to man up and fight a Klitschko.

If he isn't gonna fight either of the Klitschko brothers, I suppose this fight makes sense.

Either way none of these dudes is ready for the Klitschko brothers, which is quite sad.
