I wish it would have continued so cotto could have kept.enjoying hitting that cheat cotto did not want it it to stop and was up waiting but they had no shot of winning he did nothing to win the fight

Their was still 9 minutes to go, Only way Margarito was going to win was by KO or TKO so who knows what would have happened in those 9 minutes. we can only speculate. cotto won probably not the win he wanted nor the win I wanted to see so this fight was bittersweet just a dud in my book

Exactly what I've been saying. Cotto was winning and dominating the fight, and most likely he was going to win with a clear UD decision. However the fight wasn't over yet, there was a little more time for Margarito to do something to KO or TKO Cotto. With the stoppage, there will be some speculation on whether Margarito would've been able to do something to win. If the fight would have continued and Cotto was awarded a UD victory, there would be no speculation at all.

IMO Cotto wasn't happy with that stoppage, he wanted to prove more than he did. He won, but he wanted to leave absolutely no doubts about his performance that night.

Great fight Cotto is definitely the better boxer but I'm sure we all knew that already. I'm still not convinced that Margarito had plaster in their first fight I felt like Cotto still felt like the punches were hard the only difference is that Cotto fought way smarter and didn't stay engaging for too long. He had way better foot work which is what I think helped him in not getting punched as much and looking like the first fight.

Margarito should thank the officials for having pity on him and stopping the contest. New york did what Vegas didn't! stop a fight that was clearly favoring one fighter, Miguel Cotto! had Vegas done that in the Margarito pacquaio fight, the injury margarito sustained on his eye would've never happened. even if margs would've continued the outcome was still gonna be the same, bcuz Cotto was way up on the scorecards.
