-worked on his stamina issue
-stayed off the ropes unlike the last fight where he constantly tried to do that Mayweather ropes ducking and dodging **** (let's face it, he was getting hit really hard trying to do this in the first fight)
-circled around in clockwise rotation (Tony already lunges when he throws his right but when a fighter is circling around it makes him have to lunge forward even more, resulting in Cotto landing MANY straight lefts to Tony's face as he came forward
-avoided brawling at all costs, Cotto isn't the greatest brawler out there and he knew that getting tangled up in a brawl against Tony was a bad idea, so he didn't let it happen
-clinched at the right moments
-getting on the inside when Tony wanted to brawl, and avoided letting Tony get on the inside
These are a few reasons why I think Miguel Cotto boxed beautifully last night. Feel free to disagree or to add more to the list.
