Margarito had no power last night

As I was watching the fight I realized Margarito's punches seemed soft. He had no power whatsoever and was the one hitting like a little girl. And IMO he was the one getting knocked out Mayorga style if the fight was allowed to continue.

If he had no power, why was Corto unwilling to stop moving and instead rely on head movement or blocking as defense instead of footwork?

I will agree with you, however, in that Cotto was physically stronger in that he was able to push Margarito off of him and move Margarito with his arms and shoulders, but as far as saying Margariti had no power would only make sense if we saw Cotto stop moving and say he realized Margarito couldn't hurt him so he went in for the kill.

because he wasn't going to let margarito fight his fight. and there were a few times cotto stood there and let margarito have a crack at him.. margarito didn't hurt cotto once in the whole fight and at the very end cotto's face barely had any damage. he didn't have the power he had before plastergate.

We sometimes we get caught up in the Lounge and forget that Rippuh can actually drop some boxing knowledge.

Dude, go watch the post fight interview from last night and watch this vid.... When Cotto hugs Margarito at the end, his face wasn't even that bad. The blood is what changed the perception in peoples minds. Pause it at 46:39

He also didn't really hit Cotto with anything solid because of the constant movement and improved defense on Cotto's part.

i think cotto now has redeemed himself and is the ATG we all knew he was

i know KFC wont ever fight him
but martinez would be a good fight
of course he needs to fight pacquiao again

                cotto is a legend
