Should Cotto drop back down to 147?

He was so much faster at 147 and also he's fighting opponents that are so much bigger that he really can't fight up close, or even in the pocket, where he can sit on his punches. And at the weigh in at 152.5 he looked soft, he can definitely make 147. As far as power he was a beast at 147, not so much at 154. Thoughts?

No...154 he can make more money. Pac already beat him, Floyd has other plans than fighting Cotto. Sergio, Canelo, and Chavez all present nice pay days for Cotto....and they are damn good fights as well. 154-160 is his jackpot, and provides the fans with some very delicious fights.

Was at the fight so I didn't get to see the fight night weights. Anybody know what they were?

            Miguel is strong at 154.

He's not quite as fast, but he's more about timing anyway. He's had 3 fights at 154 and stopped all 3 guy's, can't argue with that.

Going down in weight is a bad idea. Some fighters do that and they ruin themselves.

During the mayorga fight cotto was at 150lbs the last week of training Stewartd told cotto to eat more. they had to slow down alot during the final week. there a reason why they wanted Margorito to come in at 150lbs

No - I'd rather see him take on Kirkland or Williams than chase Pacquiao and Mayweather.

In NY they dont allow second weights in so nobody ever going to know for sure. this the best 154lb cotto I seen so far
