wast next for cotto - margarito ?

It was a really enjoyable fight. Margarito was still able to put the kind of pressure on Cotto that helped wear him out the first time around, but Cotto took his shots a little better. Tony's defense is still as porous as it was three years ago, Cotto landed his left hand at will. I got the outcome I wanted, even if my prediction a few hours ago was wrong. The right guy won.

1 In all likelyhood, Chavez Jr. I don't see Bob Arum getting together with Richard Schaefer and giving us Cotto/Kirkland or Cotto/Alvarez. Chavez Jr. was talked about as a potential opponent for Cotto earlier this year, and I can see Arum going back to those plans. The Mexico/Puerto Rico rivalry still applies, it has all the makings to be a big fight at the box office.

2 I don't see Margarito retiring unless forced to. Tonight was a perfect example, he isn't going to quit if you leave the decision up to him. So if nobody prevents him from fighting again, he'll be right back in there. I wouldn't mind seeing him in with Pawel Wolak or James Kirkland. The Arum/Golden Boy fued probably prevents the latter from happening, but I'd enjoy seeing either. I think Arum's pretty much done with the guy, so you'll probably see him fed to the up and coming

Cotto should just fight Maravilla and take his last knee inducing beating.

Margarito should just retire, he has nothing else to prove.

cotto will fight mayweather, canelo (if he leaves TR) or Chavez jr.

Bob Arum will continue to suck every last penny out of Margaritos name. I think he'll get an easy fight ala garcia and then get sent off to another slaughter against a top rank fighter.

he should retire, or he'll be damaged for life.

Margs is done, might as well retire. He can't fight clean and beat anybody that's good.

Miguel's likely future is with Chavez Jr; get's him another title, keeps up the Mexico-Puerto Rico rivalry, would be another big money fight and it's one he'll likely have no problems winning.

Margarito will fight again. Put him in with mayorga. Tell me you wouldnt watch that? Or angulo?

Cotto will probably fight jcc jr. Id rather see the canelo fight or even mayweather though.

Cotto is most likely staying with TR, based on his post-fight comments, so expect Chavez Jr. (if he doesn't get stripped of the title) to fight Cotto so he can become the 1st P.R to win a belt in 4 divisions.

Part of me will like to see Mayorga/Margarito, that will be an entertaining undercard fight.

Tony needs to retire. He was able to get 2 big paydays in his last two fights, so I'd hope somebody in his camp will tell him he needs to hang me up.

Cotto will probably fight JCCJr if he stays w/ the BobFather.

Cotto's got more left in the tank than I realized, hope he leaves TR. And if he stays, he'd fight JCCjr at a CW which Jr would have trouble making. more interesting fights w/ GP.

Margs probably fights JCCjr at some point next year.
