    Wow! just watched it.

Really good fight. I was suprised at how much both fighters had left in the tank. Weird how a lot of thinks changed but a lot of things remained the same. Props to Cotto for his fight plan and to margarito for being a tough SOB. The first four rounds were weird. They were utter domination on Cottos part. He would move away, get off first and trade if he needed to, or tie him up on a few occasions. The fifth round seemed to be the most telling to me because it seemed to mimic the first few rounds of their first fight. The difference being that unlike the first fight, Cotto never gave Margarito a chance to impose his will completely on the fight. Whenever Margarito started to show signs of overtaking the fight Cotto would hop on him as opposed to the first fight where cotto was struggling to keep away and despite winning rounds, he was doing it by the skin of his teeth and looked to be barely surviving. I cant really say how this fight effects the whole plaster situation because there were subtle differences. Cotto was struggling to get away form Margarito in the first fight but was parying shots like second nature in this one. He was still getting hit hard by margarito though but he seemed to be able to manage it better(in the first fight he looked like a cornered mouse everytime Margarito boxed him in). Still I was surprised. Pretty good fight.

Cotto fought a far better fight. People will scream that this is proof Margarito cheated, but he didn't hit Cotto nearly as much as the first time so I don't understand that. Margarito was coming on though...

Still would have loved to see those last three rounds. Margarito's eye is just too messed up though.

I agree. The change in gameplan changed the whole fight dynamic. Cotto was smart (though maybe a little low) to start circling to the side of the bad eye to screw Margarito over.

Margarito was starting to get manhandled (not only schooled) for the first time against Cotto. Cotto was pushing him back and physically imposing himself over the bigger Margo when they got up close.

That's when Cotto was getting hit most though. The 9th was his best round, I would have liked to see how the last 3 rounds went.

The uppercuts didn't look to have the same 'pop', those were what really took it out of Cotto the first time, I think one of them broke Cotto's nose.

Anyway, let's be honest, the Mosley fight is unlikely to have been the first fight where Margo used the illegal wraps and he did in all likelihood use them in the first Cotto fight.

Still would have loved to see those last three rounds. Margarito's eye is just too messed up though.
Margarito looked tired in the 9th, whereas Cotto still looked sharp this fight was only finishing one way, doc. made the right decision.

I really want to re-watch this. Went to my brother's to go see it. Is anywhere else showing replays?

Precisely what I think. Cotto was starting to impose himself on Margo. Margo could not manhandle Cotto when they got up close. It was Cotto doing the pushing and landing harder shots that WERE rocking Margo.

The difference in this fight was Cotto did what he should have been doing all along. In the first fight in rounds 8 & (, he got up in Margarito's chest. He did it often in this fight. He got inside of Margario's range. The uppercut was powerless, (why), maybe the best win of Cotto's career.
