well at this point i think mayweather (as well as pacquiao) is in it for the money, meaning whoever can make him money can get a shot. cotto is obviously there, but other guys like khan or alvarez can be considered. that or fight a decently known name and try to stack the card like they did with ortiz.

Cotto is shot and beating a more shot fighter does not make you capable of competing with elite fighters. Floyd is elite. Stop the silliness please. Cotto's last 3 fights were against Yuri Foreman, Mayorga, and Margarito. Hopefully you were just playing.

Cotto looked on point tonight, against an agressive bum devoid of all strategy. Margarito basically planned on waling on Cotto at the opening of every round, even without the eye nothing would have changed. I still saw the same Margarito who fought Garcia to a sloppy UD. The outcome was a likely UD/Majority under normal circumstances
