Don't be fooled people. Cotto looked good, against a past prime Margarito. I said tiem and time again going into this fight, it's a past prime-still sort of good fighter (Cotto) fighting a way past prime fighter (Margarito).

The main reason I don't see Floyd fighting Cotto is because he was already destroyed by Pacquiao. Now, Floyd fought Marquez and dominated him, but Marquez arguably beat Pac when they fought. I'd much rather see Cotto fight Chavez Jr, Alvarez, Kirkland, and Floyd fight Pacquiao, Khan, Martinez, etc.

Because the second that Floyd singed to fight Cotto at 154, all of his haters would immediately say Floyd is cherry picking a past prime fighter, which is what Cotto is. You know, I know it, Floyd knows it.

He fought Marquez, at a weight he showed against Pac that he can be good at, and dominated him, gets no credit. He fought Mosley, after Mosley just KO'd Antonio and Ricardo, and when Pacquiao refused to fight him, got zero credit. He fought Ortiz, who just beat Berto and should have got the win over Peterson, another guy Pac didn't want to fight, and was beating him with rather little trouble.

The haters say ANYTHING floyd does is a cherry pick, and I have doubt that if Bob Arum seriously tries to make Floyd-Pac, and Floyd wins, people will discredit that too, or at least try.

What Miguel did last night was out-class a past prime fighter who was coming off major eye surgery, and I was rooting for Cotto of course. It gets Cotto his revenge, but in the grand scheme of things, all he did was beat up an old and slow Margarito, who's eye was closing at anything Cotto was throwing. Also, Margarito was STILL hitting Cotto, and landed like 150 punches on him in 9 rounds. Yes, Cotto was dominating the fight, but Margarito was in it, and that just shows how faded both guys are.

I think Lara and Kirkland may beat Cotto, depending on how James holds up through the fight.

Mayweather-Cotto would get criticized the second it gets made, and you know it man.
