Mares CAN beat Donaire

after wolak beat foreman i wanted alvarez' people to jump on that fight. i'm positive he would've beaten wolak. that said, cong**** to rodriguez, i missed the fight but read a summary of the fight.

as for mares beating donaire, no way that ever happens. donaire is too skilled and bigger than him. nonito is moving up anyways so it won't happen. i'd love to see mares/arce go down, to me that would be a great fight for both of them and the fans.

Yeah Wolak did get beat by a blown up WW but its still WAAAAAY better than getting KO'd in the 1st round against a bum.

did you not watch the angulo fight? whether you hate kirkland or not, it's kind of obvious he wasn't in great shape like he is in an ann wolfe training camp and middleweight isn't his ideal weight class.

i'd still love to see mares/arce go down for those belts they have at 118. donaire is already in talks of fighting vazquez jr and nishioka for 2012. both are top rank fighters, i think arum would prefer to do in house fights then to do business with gbp

yeah GB vs Top Rank in all likelyhood does ruin it but if Arum does waste Donaire's time with Vasquez and Arce then Mares might pass him any if he gets Nishioka.

again, did you see it? angulo knocked him down in the first but couldn't finish him off. instead he himself got knocked down. are you saying angulo came into the fight out of shape? or if angulo didn't gas he'd win? no one to blame but angulo. james was in shape and showed a decent chin by taking those shots and being able to stop angulo.

from what i've read of arce recently, he plans to defend his 118 title and then target the winner of salido/lopez if it happens. that would probably take arce out of the possibilities of future opponents for donaire. but right now he could unify titles with mares at 118. i'm pretty confident arum has vazquez set for donaire and then nishioka to follow it.

Angulo not finishing him off had nothing to do with Kirkland's chin Angulo just gassed. Angulo was inactive so its not a surprise he gassed int he first round. I still think a cool breeze could KO Kirkland.

I think Golden Boy gets to Nishioka first.
