    Brandon Rios isn't going anywhere

Rios the personality is fine with me, he's a funny dude. As far as the fighter- he's undisciplined, doesn't belong anywhere close to 147, and gets hit too damn much. Mark my words, he's not getting much further than where he is now. He won't be able to take all those punches from top welterweights, or maybe even JWW's, forever.

Added to that, he doesn't, and history shows never has, taken his conditioning as seriously as an elite fighter needs to. We've learned over and over- you don't mind the shape you're in or fine-tune your defense, you won't last long.

Maybe, maybe not. He's still an exciting fighter and I love watching his fights. I hope he fights an elite fighter soon, I'm interested to see how he does.

His is undisciplined when it comes to his fitness. As a fighter however, the man is a beast. If he starts taking himself seriously he could got ridiculously far. But its hard to change bad habits.

Rios will have a lot of problem at Jr WW or WW. With lack of size advantage and lack defense, Rios will get hurt easily at WW.

I think a move to 140 might make him into a bigger beast, you never know?

He can easily run 140 (if he avoids Marquez at all costs), because who's even going to be there anymore? Bradley, Ortiz, Khan, Alexander, Maidana are all moving up to 147 by next year or already there.

Only guys who can give him problems are Guerrero, Mattysse, and Alvarado. But I don't see Rios getting blown out in any of those fights, and he would be favored to win them all IMO.

RIOS cant beat the Ghost on his worst day and Mathyse has just as much if not more power. Alvarrado might be an intersting fight though. Rios might be able to beat Marquez because of size but I doubt it. Marquez is a ATG for the ages. Much props to Marquz P4P # 3 behind FLOYD AND MARVILLA. RIOS defense and Jab needs improving.

Key words right there. IF and BAD HABITS. There's a point a fighter reaches where, if everything is in his hands or within his grasp and he can't or won't seize, he never will. See Chris Arreola. Relative to him, Rios is undisciplined to a lesser extent, but he also has much less margin for error. Bookmark this thread- I'm certain that by this time two years from now, Rios will be 'shot' 'overrated' or a promotional free agent.

he has the personality and the talent/ability; he's lacking the polish to be a big star and draw.

And he's not a natural 140/147 lb. fighter. He needs to get his discipline in order and stay at 135.

Agree with everything except Pacquiao being outside of the top 3. He's easily number 2.
